NUMBER 653

BENCHMARKS continued

Further east and on the south side of where Hill Street becomes John Mitchell Place is another ancient church - perhaps Saint Mary's. Although the grounds were locked it was possible to spot the 'mark on the front of the building and the zoom lens, at full extension poked through the railings, did the necessary.

Below: A 'mark on a church on John Mitchell Place, Newry, County Down.

Above: Looking west from Saint Colman's Park towards the church with the statue of John Mitchell in the foreground. The 'mark is on the front of the church to the left of the entrance.
